Warming Comfort

That voice so long ago,
Soothing and calming woes,
A sweet voice in song,
Lulling the mind to sleep.

Gentle arms surrounding,
Held close in a warm embrace,
Rocked in the protection,
Knowing that here I’m safe.

The soft voice still needed,
When tears come yet again,
Embracing hugs still wanted,
From a loving mothers arms.

A poem for all the mothers out there. I know I'm a bit late for mothers day, but it is here for you all the same. I hope you all had a wonderful day.
